Climbing Conditioning Series - Pressing for Shoulder Stability
9 June — Pressing for Shoulder Stability
Healthy, stable shoulders are non-negotiable for a long climbing life. In this workshop you'll learn four key pressing movements – the barbell military press, the shoulder press, and two kettlebell press variations – each chosen to build the overhead strength and joint stability that keeps you climbing safely and confidently.
Physical requirement: ability to press an unloaded barbell overhead.
Want to climb stronger, move better, and stay injury-free? Join experienced coach Mehnert Engelbrecht for a series of practical strength workshops designed specifically for climbers.
Each session focuses on key exercises and movement patterns that support climbing performance through antagonistic strength training, improved technique, and injury prevention. Mehnert will break down proper form, explain how each exercise benefits climbers, and help you get the most out of your training.
Whether you're new to strength training or looking to refine your technique, these workshops will give you the tools to train smarter and climb stronger.
